Candidates for LEAD VIRGINIA may self-nominate by completing the online application form. If you would like to nominate another candidate, or request an application packet, please contact the LEAD VIRGINIA office at (804) 644 - LEAD (5323).
Be sure to have the following materials ready to submit with your application:
- A current résumé, curriculum vitae or biographical sketch
- An issue description, as instructed on the application form
- A nonrefundable application fee of $100, payable by cash, check (mailed to the LEAD VIRGINIA office) or credit card
Qualified applicants will be notified of the selection committee’s decision on Feb. 15, 2010. If selected, participants will be billed for tuition to cover program costs, overnight accommodations and meals. If you accept the invitation to participate in the LEAD VIRGINIA class of 2010, the deadline for tuition payment is March 15, 2010.
Attendance policy
Attendance at the opening orientation session on April 15-17, 2010 is mandatory. If you have a schedule conflict that prevents you from participating on these dates, please wait until next year to apply.
Attendance at all program sessions is strongly urged. Participants who miss more than two days will be asked to withdraw. Please review the 2010 program session dates carefully and mark them on your calendar now.
