Conversations with Leaders: The Richmond-Hampton Roads Megaregion
When: Wednesday, Oct 16, 2019
Time: 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
Location: Granby Room A, Hilton Norfolk the Main (100 E. Main Street, Norfolk)
In our third Conversations with Leaders event of 2019, we'll be discussing the RVA-Hampton Roads Megaregion Collaborative. Speaker Tom Frantz, Partner at Williams Mullen and Co-chair of the Richmond-Hampton Roads Megaregion Collaborative (Collaborative info here), will outline the reasoning and targets for the Collaborative, the timeline for the project, and what everyone can do to help further the initiative.
In a rapidly changing global economy, boundaries are constantly evolving. Networks of large metropolitan regions are emerging all over the United States and around the world. Some of these “megaregions” are now intentionally collaborating to compete for economic development – giving them an advantage over others. The Richmond MSA and Hampton Roads MSA are primed to join this cohort of megaregions and an inclusive, mutually supportive network of community, business and higher education leaders have organized to further that goal.
5:30 - 7:30 PM on Wednesday, October 16th
(Networking Reception from 5:30 - 6:00 PM, Discussion begins at 6:00 PM)
Hilton Norfolk the Main
Appetizers and Drinks will be served. Parking for the event can be found either in the garage of Hilton the Main or street parking located around the hotel.
