2016 Opening Session


On Thursday, April 14th, more than 150 board members, alumni and members of the Class of 2016 gathered in Colonial Williamsburg to celebrate and encourage the new Lead Virginia class. The class of 2016 has 53 members and is Lead Virginia's twelfth class. 

A warm welcome was issued to the new class, alumni and board members by Susan Horne,'06, president & CEO.  This year's best class attendance went to the Class of 2015 with 44% of their class attending the luncheon. Honorable mention goes to the Class of 2013 who had 42% of their class in attendance.The Class of 2015 was also recognized for their generous "pay it forward" gift of over $36,000 to support scholarships for Lead Virginia's next "best class". 
Board Chair, Ned Massee,'07principalCroatan Advisors, introduced Colonial Williamsburg Foundation president, Mitchell Reiss, who welcomed the group to Colonial Williamsburg.Tammy McGee,'15, affluentcustomer segment recruiting manager, Wells Fargo introduced Mark Constantine,'14, president & CEO, Richmond Memorial Health Foundation. Mark shared his experience going through the Lead Virginia program and gave encouraging and inspiring words to the Class of 2016.
